Job summary

Gainwell Technologies is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our remote-enabled team supporting healthcare clients. You will elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, translating objectives into technical solutions across the software development lifecycle.

You'll collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and developers to ensure systems meet business needs, lead analysts, and contribute to data warehouse initiatives, SQL queries, and Power BI reporting.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis and requirements gathering.
  • 3+ years of data warehouse experience.
  • Experience leading teams and mentoring analysts in cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

  • Bridge between clients, project managers, and technical staff to define, document and share business requirements.
  • Analyze and document functional and non-functional requirements and optimize processes.
  • Lead collaboration between stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain SOWs, user stories, and process flows to support development and adoption.
  • Support UAT and go-live activities to ensure solution quality.
  • Assist with project planning, tracking, and change management by evaluating impacts and risks.

The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for eliciting, analyzing data, and documenting business requirements for software development projects. This role involves working closely with stakeholders, end-users, project managers, and developers to ensure that software applications are designed to meet business needs. The Senior Data Analyst will help translate business objectives into technical solutions and support the software development lifecycle from inception to implementation.Here are the details on this position.

Your role in our mission

Play a critical part in ensuring Gainwell is meeting our clients’ objectives in important areas.

  • Be a knowledgeable bridge between clients, project managers and technical staff to define, document and share business requirements and expected impact.
  • Requirements and Process Analysis: Gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements; evaluate and optimize business processes to align with software capabilities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment on business needs, design, and development throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Documentation and Communication: Create and maintain SOWs, user stories, process flows, and training materials to support development and user adoption.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Support UAT, identify and resolve defects, and assist end-users during testing and go-live phases to ensure solution quality.
  • Project and Change Management Support: Assist with project planning, tracking, and change management by analyzing impacts, managing risks, and communicating updates effectively.
  • Coordinate business analyst team’s activities on IT projects and nurture newer team members by providing guidance and support.
  • Exercise your analytical and relational database capability to quantify the anticipated solution approach and business impact.
What we\'re looking for
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Requirements Gathering, Process Mapping, Documentation
  • 3+ years in Data Warehouse
  • Skilled in both Agile and Waterfall SDLC Methodologies
  • Experience leading teams and mentoring Junior Analysts while working with cross-functional technical and non-technical partners
  • Familiarity with SQL and Power BI a plus

The pay range for this position is $69,400.00 - $99,200.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
