Job summary

Gravity IT Resources is seeking a Data Analyst II in Charlotte, NC (Raleigh, NC also considered) on a contract basis. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining reporting, dashboards, and data warehouse solutions.

You will collaborate with Finance, PM, and Resource Management to deliver solutions, write SQL for Oracle/SQL Server, and develop Power BI and related Microsoft BI components.

Data Analyst II

Charlotte, NC preferred (Raleigh, NC also considered) Contract

We’re looking for a Data Analyst II to design, develop, and maintain reporting, dashboard, and data warehouse solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Communicate effectively with peers and internal customers, working with them to develop clear requirements


• Write SQL against Oracle or SQL Server databases


• Write DAX or MDX code


• Develop and maintain Power Automate and Power Apps solutions


• Build medium to complex solutions using Power BI Service, Power BI Paginated, or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)


• Query Tabular or Multi-dimensional Models in Power BI or SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)


• Interface with internal organizations such as Finance, Project Management, and Resource Management to facilitate solution delivery


• Coordinate with IT on requests and develop solutions to complex business problems systematicallyApply project management fundamentals to help drive initiatives to successful completion


• Apply data warehousing fundamentals and document warehouses to support cross-training


• Use technical understanding of existing reporting warehouses, or develop local warehouses when needed

What We’re Looking For

• Demonstrated experience with SQL, DAX/MDX, Power BI, SSRS, Power Automate, and Power Apps


• Strong communication skills and experience gathering requirements from internal stakeholders


• Extensive knowledge of data warehousing fundamentals
