Job summary

Renterra, a Series A–backed SaaS company in Chicago, is seeking a senior engineer to own data systems that enable AI-powered product experiences. The role focuses on data architecture, modeling, and production systems, with hybrid in-office collaboration and flexibility for focused remote work.

You will design scalable data pipelines, work with analytical databases like ClickHouse, and shape the data foundation for customer-facing analytics and AI features.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating production data systems.
• Strong data architecture, SQL, and data modeling skills.
• Familiarity with analytical databases such as ClickHouse and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate data systems that power customer-facing AI features.
• Own data path from raw data to product features and observability.
• Design and implement AI agent-enabled experiences across the platform.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to align data strategy with product goals.
