Job summary

Robertson, Anschutz, Schneid, Crane & Partners, PLLC seeks a Principal Engineer – Data & AI to drive enterprise AI and data platform architecture. This senior, hands-on role leads deployment of production AI systems, data pipelines, and governance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 7+ years of software, data, AI or platform engineering experience.
• 5+ years building data engineering, AI automation, or cloud-native solutions.
• Production AI systems experience including ML, GenAI, IDP, NLP, and RAG architectures.
• Strong hands-on Python, SQL, React, C#, Java skills.
• Experience defining enterprise data structures and multi-tier lake/warehouse architectures.
• Deep Azure services experience (Data Factory/Lake, Docker, Kubernetes, ML Studio).
• Strong stakeholder communication and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture decisions for AI, automation, and data platforms.
• Define reference architectures, design standards and reusable frameworks.
• Design scalable automation across external APIs and internal apps via microservices.
• Lead lakehouse/warehouse implementations for analytics and AI workloads.
• Establish batch/streaming pipelines and event-driven data access patterns.
• Build robust data pipelines using Azure/Databricks/Snowflake/Spark and Python.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, observability, governance and auditability.
