Job summary

Intapp is seeking a senior data engineer to build the data foundation and governed AI services on top of it. You will own pipelines from source to model using Python and dbt, containerize with Docker, and deploy on AWS with Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional data engineering experience with end-to-end ownership of production systems.
• Strong Python for data processing and dbt experience including models, tests, macros, and deployment.
• Hands-on Docker and Kubernetes experience to deploy, scale, and troubleshoot data workloads with IaC/CI/CD.
• Solid AWS experience across core services for storage, compute, networking, and security.
• Advanced SQL and data modeling with warehousing performance tuning.
• Practical knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and governance for LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate batch and incremental pipelines in Python, with dbt for transformation, testing, and documentation.
• Containerize workloads with Docker and run on Kubernetes, using CI/CD and IaC to ship safely and often.
• Build MCP servers and connectors for governed access to enterprise data and tools.
• Deploy and operate agentic workflows, including tool use, orchestration, evaluation, observability, and guardrails.
• Review code and mentor engineers, raising standards for design, testing, and documentation.
