Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Data and AI Architect to join our Data & AI Technology group within the Digital Engineering Solutions domain. This role focuses on designing scalable data and AI architectures that power self-serve BI and analytics for AEC professionals and clients.

You will partner with data scientists and engineers, craft architecture docs, stay current with cloud technologies like Azure and Databricks, and help guide implementations across the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design the architecture for data and AI solutions that are scalable, secure, and reliable.
• Engage with business units to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Create data and AI architectural solutions for complex architecture, engineering, and environmental science problems.
• Scale data and AI solutions across different business units.
• Prepare architecture and technical design documents for data and AI solutions.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, data analysts, and stakeholders.
• Stay current with latest technologies and best practices impacting CDM Smith.
• Develop documentation, standards, and workflows for data technology hardware/software.
• Present to external audiences as needed.
• Assist with marketing, communications, and business development descriptions.
