Job summary

Schnabel Engineering is seeking a Senior Structural Dam Engineer with 12+ years of experience to lead assessment, design, rehabilitation, and construction of concrete dams and related hydraulic structures. The role focuses on technical leadership and growing Schnabel's dam engineering practice across Texas.

The ideal candidate will manage complex projects, mentor staff, and strengthen client relationships with utilities and government entities. A Texas PE or reciprocal is preferred.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil/structural engineering degree required; master preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas or reciprocity ability; SE designation helpful.
• 10+ years' dam/hydraulic structure experience; Texas experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural evaluations of dams and hydraulic structures.
• Oversee design of concrete dams, spillways, intake works, and appurtenant structures.
• Develop scopes, budgets, schedules, and staffing for complex dam projects.
• Mentor and supervise engineers and staff; support business development and client relations.
