Job summary

KeyBank is seeking a Sr. Cybersecurity Risk Oversight Professional to provide independent oversight and SME in risk management for Technology and Operations.

This 2nd line role focuses on operational and information security risk across the enterprise, collaborating with 1st line and auditors to identify, challenge, and mitigate material risks. Reporting to the Director of Cybersecurity Risk Oversight, you will oversee risk assessment activities, monitor risk indicators, and drive enhancements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, technology, or economics or commensurate/relevant degree.
• Minimum of 5 years industry experience in Operational Risk, Enterprise Risk, Technology Risk, Information Security Risk, External/Internal Audit or related lines of business.
• Outstanding active listening skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work with internal and external auditors and regulators.
• Ability to think strategically with the ability to drive execution.
• Holistic view of risk in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of internal controls, risk assessments and compliance processes.
• Familiarity with MS Office tools (Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
• Ability to conduct in-depth testing of systems, processes and controls.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate risk and control identification within key processes and perform gap assessments on control coverage and first line of defense identification processes.
• Collaborate with leaders to gain insights on operational performance, emerging risks and strategic initiatives while identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Evaluate and monitor projects, strategic initiatives, and new technologies to ensure alignment with risk tolerance and business goals.
• Review risks, controls and assessments to support effective oversight and compliance with risk management requirements.
• Oversee the technology portfolio, assessing projects to ensure alignment with risk appetite and mitigation strategies.
• Support and enhance the risk oversight framework by developing and updating oversight practices.
• Partner with teams to influence implementation of operational practices to mitigate risk within appetite.
• Provide expert advice on risk management practices and practical mitigation solutions.
• Analyze risks for new products/services including third parties, assist with audits and regulatory examinations.
• Foster relationships with business partners and senior management with open risk communication.
• Escalate significant risk issues and drive corrective actions, monitor emerging risks and industry trends.
