Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ is seeking a Senior Specialist, Cybersecurity Engineering to hands-on secure our strategic enterprise platforms through implementation, automation, and continuous risk reduction.

You will partner with platform owners, engineers, architects, and product teams to embed security controls, standardize governance, and maintain trusted platform operations across critical business platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, cloud security, platform security, or DevSecOps.
Hands-on experience implementing security controls in PaaS, SaaS, or enterprise platforms.
Knowledge of Kubernetes, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and modern cloud-native technologies.

Responsibilities

Engineer security controls across SAP, Salesforce, Databricks, M365, ServiceNow, Veeva, and AI platforms.
Support platform assurance via security assessments, risk reduction, and compliance readiness.
Integrate security into platform delivery, CI/CD workflows, and operations.
Develop automation and reusable security patterns to improve resilience.
