Job summary

The State of Washington Office of the State Auditor is seeking an IT Auditor III to lead cybersecurity audits and complex IT engagements. You will plan audits, supervise staff, coordinate cross-agency reviews, and deliver actionable recommendations to improve government IT security.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree with four years of audit experience (two in IT audit) and professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or GSEC, or a relevant master’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and four years of audit experience including at least two years in IT audit.
• Certification in CISA, CISSP, GSEC or a master’s degree in data analytics, cybersecurity, or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT audits from planning through final presentation, of varying size and complexity.
• Independently manage audits covering complex cybersecurity environments and coordinate with multiple agencies.
• Provide expert IT security services and ensure timely, high-quality audit work and recommendations.
