Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer Level 4 to design, build, and maintain secure infrastructure and applications to strengthen cyber defenses. The role focuses on PAM, identity management, and secure configurations across diverse tech domains.

Responsibilities include incident response support, risk assessments, and collaboration with multiple teams to reduce cybersecurity risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) is required with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• CS/related field degree preferred.
• OCI certification or equivalent and security certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Researching and mitigating cybersecurity risks across infrastructure, applications, OT, and IOT domains.
• Configure, harden, and integrate secure solutions in assigned technology domains.
• Provide incident response support and forensic analysis when needed.
• Collaborate with security engineers, architects, developers, vendors, and business units to reduce risk.
