Job summary

Mayvin is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to support the United States Army and JIATF-401 at Fort Belvoir, VA, focusing on the development and security of C-UAS systems across multiple environments to protect critical infrastructure and the warfighter. Requirements include a graduate degree, at least seven years of related experience, active CISSP certification, and RMF/ATO experience.

U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in cybersecurity, information assurance, engineering, or computer science.
• Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
• Active CISSP certification.
• Experience in cybersecurity engineering, security architecture, or closely related field.
• Experience supporting RMF and ATO activities for DoW information systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior cybersecurity engineering SME across enterprise, operational, cloud, hybrid, and vendor-supported environments.
• Lead and advise on cybersecurity architecture, system design, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and risk-informed technical decision-making.
• Translate mission/operational requirements into secure system design considerations and cybersecurity requirements.
• Lead or support discussions on network architecture, cloud security design, boundary protection, interoperability, and control implementation.
• Assess cybersecurity risks across government-managed and vendor-managed systems and recommend mitigations.
• Manage cybersecurity integration for initial authorization, reauthorization, major changes, and ATO sustainment.
• Review security architectures, implementation approaches, control inheritance strategies, test plans, artifacts, and assessment results.
• Coordinate with PMOs, mission owners, system owners, security teams, and vendors to resolve issues affecting authorization, compliance, and interoperability.
• Provide expert consultation on cybersecurity implications of cloud adoption, cross-domain interfaces, externally provided services, and DoD partnerships.
• Align technical solutions with applicable DoW, Joint, interagency, and organizational cybersecurity requirements.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and leadership.
