Job summary

GDIT in Springfield, VA is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to own mission-critical DoW cybersecurity programs, lead security design, risk assessments, and RMF authorization strategies across high-impact environments. Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in cybersecurity architecture, RMF compliance, and system accreditation.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment, risk mitigation, and ATO lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Lead A&A of complex DoW systems following RMF processes (DAAPM 2.2, JSIG Rev 4, ICD-503).
• Own RMF documentation lifecycle (SSPs, POA&Ms, SCTMs, risk assessments).
• Guide teams through ATO/IATO achievement and continuous monitoring across systems.
• Architect and implement advanced cybersecurity controls for resilience against evolving threats.
• Leverage AI/ML to develop, integrate, and operationalize capabilities across cybersecurity apps, including threat detection and automated analysis.
• Design AI-enabled workflows for automated vulnerability detection, continuous compliance checks, and prioritized remediation based on real-time risk scoring.
• Deploy and administer cyber tools (ACAS, Splunk, HBSS) and security platforms (eMASS).
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; drive knowledge sharing and growth.
