Job summary

Corient in Chicago is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Associate to join a fast-paced, client-focused security team. You will manage security tooling operations, incident response, scripting, and vulnerability management to strengthen the enterprise security posture.

The role requires 6–10+ years of experience, a four-year degree or equivalent, and relevant certifications. Candidates should be fluent in English and able to work onsite four days a week in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree or equivalent industry training and certifications.
• Six to ten+ years of experience in a security analyst or related role, preferably in financial services.
• Strong understanding of Azure, AD, SQL, Office365, Windows servers/desktops.
• Familiarity with NIST, CIS-18, ISO frameworks.
• Proven expertise managing security tools (SIEM, DLP, SOAR, IAM, EndPoint).
• Experience with Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7 or similar vulnerability solutions.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, PowerShell).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Security tooling operations: manage and optimize security tools (Azure Security, Defender, Rapid7, Cisco Umbrella).
• Lead and participate in incident response activities and remediation.
• Develop and maintain scripts to automate security processes.
• Oversee vulnerability management and coordinate remediation with tech teams.
• Perform threat hunting and develop proactive defense measures.
• Leverage threat intel feeds to identify and defend against emerging threats.
