Job summary

Nodak Insurance Company is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer in Fargo, ND to design, build, and improve security controls across the organization. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise security domains.
• Experience designing and implementing security controls based on frameworks (NIST CSF, 800-53, ISO 27001).
• Demonstrated ability to translate security requirements into technical designs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy cybersecurity infrastructure and controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, email security, and identity protection.
• Lead investigations and response actions during security incidents and develop post-incident reports.
• Own vulnerability management, conduct risk-based prioritization, and coordinate remediation.
• Perform threat modeling and security design reviews for new systems and changes.
• Develop automation and engineering practices to reduce manual security work.
