Job summary

MITRE, a nonprofit engineering and applied research organization, seeks a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst for the Strategic Non‑Kinetic Effects Mission Division to design and deliver mission-critical cyber solutions for national security.

Responsibilities include evaluating methodologies, supporting intelligence operations, and communicating findings to senior leaders, with on-site work five days a week in Bedford, MA.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s; or PhD with 3 years.
  • Ability to work with others to solve challenging technical problems.
  • Ability to think critically, work in group settings, and pursue research and problem solving.
  • Experience analyzing raw threat intelligence from one or more collection disciplines (e.g., SIGINT, HUMINT, GEOINT).
  • Deep understanding of computer networks and the OSI model across hardware, software, and networking.
  • Expert knowledge of C5ISR-T analysis and current C4 architectures.
  • Experience in all-source intelligence, threat hunting, vulnerability analysis, network reverse engineering and reconnaissance.
  • Familiarity with intelligence community structures and requirements processes.
  • Experience with intelligence community analytic and requirements tools.
  • Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI w/ Poly; U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating existing methodologies and developing recommendations for improved processes, tools, analytics, and infrastructure
  • Identifying and leveraging capabilities from across MITRE that enable the sponsor to measurably increase mission impact
  • Supporting intelligence collection operations by partnering closely with Sponsor leaders to apply human and technological capabilities that enable successful operational/mission outcomes
  • Conveying technical, analytic, and organizational findings, recommendations, and approaches to senior decision makers and mission partners.
