Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to identify, analyze, and communicate cyber threats affecting the organization, employees, systems, and data. You will translate intelligence into actionable detections, investigations, and defensive improvements with hands-on telemetry and security technologies.

The role requires knowledge of threat actors, geopolitical or industry threats, and experience with SIEM/XDR, vulnerability data, and attacker techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Intelligence Studies, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of cybersecurity, threat intelligence, SOC, incident response, threat hunting, or related experience.
• Strong understanding of cyber threat intelligence principles and lifecycle processes.
• Working knowledge of SIEM/XDR platforms, EDR technologies, Windows and Linux OS, identity/authentication, vulnerability management, and cloud security.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, adversary TTPs, and common attack methodologies.
• Ability to analyze technical indicators such as domains, IPs, hashes, URLs, and network activity.
• Ability to communicate complex threats to technical teams and leadership.
• Strong analytical, research, documentation, and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze cyber threat intelligence from diverse sources.
• Identify emerging threat actors, campaigns, and vulnerabilities relevant to the organization.
• Develop intelligence assessments covering strategic, operational, and tactical threats.
• Maintain threat actor profiles, IOCs, TTPs, and intelligence requirements.
• Analyze threats using frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain.
• Produce executive and technical threat reports, alerts, and briefings.
• Translate intelligence into actionable detections and security controls with SOC/engineering teams.
• Assist in developing detection logic, watchlists, and alerting rules.
