Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer to support the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) program. The role collaborates with cybersecurity, software and systems teams to enforce secure architectures and protect critical components.

Requires an active Secret clearance and DoD 8140/8570 certification; experience with containers and Linux for secure deployments is essential. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5 years cyber systems experience or Master’s with 3 years
• Active Secret clearance to start is required
• DoD 8140/8570 certification required (e.g., Security+ CE)
• Experience managing and manipulating containers (Podman, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Ability to analyze cyber infrastructure challenges and propose solutions
• Ability to implement system enhancements for performance, reliability and security

Responsibilities

• Perform security assessments on containerized applications and drive remediation
• Collaborate with software, systems and security engineers to define secure architectures
• Ensure cyber survivability attributes are implemented in system designs
• Support security architecture and influence tool selection and development
