Job summary

Twenty-Six Defense seeks a Senior IT System Engineer to lead cybersecurity engineering for DoD programs. You will define cyber security requirements, assess architectures, and interface with engineering, program management, and customers to deliver compliant solutions.

The role emphasizes RMF implementation, risk management, and system-level security testing, with opportunities to influence DoD security posture and engineering planning. Onsite in the US, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience building RMF artifacts and mapping to NIST/SCA controls.
• Knowledge of DoD/CNSSI regulations and security testing.
• Ability to lead cyber security engineering efforts.

Responsibilities

• Provide cyber security engineering leadership on advanced DoD systems.
• Develop cyber security requirements, evaluate solutions, and support proposals.
• Perform risk assessments, threat analysis, and security testing.
• Conduct system security reviews and communicate risks in business terms.
• Install and maintain IT infrastructure components for programs.
• Plan IT architecture and ensure security controls are integrated.
• Travel up to 20% domestically/internationally.
