The Defense Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to work at Robins AFB GA. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Special Projects program and Air Force mission. In this mission we provide IT and engineering expertise along with Information Assurance Services to customers CONUS and OCONUS in support of network and information security systems for multiple closed user groups and are developing and building a network fiber system. Our program entails maintaining and enhancing the information systems and networks and performing system enhancements, software installation, integration, testing, and deployment services.
You will provide ISSE support to the program and a secure communications and data transfer network that consists of a series of secure networks that are already fielded and in sustainment. You will also be responsible for providing cyber expertise for new installs and tech refreshes that require engineering and security architecture design, integration and install, test, and deploy to operations. You will be ensuring cybersecurity is applied to our secure communications operational data transfer between various CONUS and OCONUS sites with security adequate to protect information at the SECRET level; designing, installing, administering, and maintaining secure communications capabilities between existing and new sites; and, providing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) documentation and training. Designing and implementing technical security controls, identify and remediate vulnerabilities, and advice to Information System Security Managers (ISSMs), and Program Managers. Provide cybersecurity expertise and knowledge to implement the System Security Plan. Create the Security Assessment Report. Create Plan of Action and Milestones. Implement Plans of Actions and Milestones. Ensure required vulnerability scans meet the standards required to obtain and maintain an ATO from the Authorizing Official.
A bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical discipline and 10 or more years of prior relevant experience, or 14 years of experience without a degree. Must be a US Citizen and actively possess a Top Secret SCI security clearance. Any one of the following DoD Manual 8140.03 certifications: Security+, CASP, CISSP Experience designing and implementing technical security controls, identify and remediate vulnerabilities. A strong working knowledge of RMF. Experience in applying security principles to all states of system development from requirements development through operational acceptance. Experience in conducting information systems security assessments, evaluating IA and Cybersecurity controls, and conducting and supporting RMF activities. Experience with Operational Air Force or Space Force systems. Experience with ACAS, Xacta and / or eMASS. Experience and/or certifications associated with RMF, ICD 503, NIST SP800-53 Experience in current authorization practices, particularly within the DoD Experience in accreditation of Windows, Linux, Cisco, SQL or Oracle databases, virtualized systems, Red Hat Enterprise License (RHEL) Linux 7, ACAS, Tenable systems.

Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
