Qualifications

  • Professional experience in IT support, systems support, IT operations, cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Understanding of business IT environments including user accounts, permissions, endpoints, and common support processes.
  • Working knowledge of core cybersecurity principles: least privilege, access control, authentication, secure user practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to understand existing processes and identify improvements.
  • Excellent technical writing skills with ability to develop clear procedures and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize work, manage details and follow projects through to completion.
  • Sound judgment, curiosity, and willingness to ask questions when requirements or risks are unclear.
  • Genuine interest in cybersecurity and commitment to ongoing learning.
  • Ability to explain, validate, and own the accuracy of recommendations and documentation.
  • Ability to work onsite in Las Vegas five days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Help complete security improvement projects identified through an existing assessment, tracking action items, dependencies, and progress.
  • Review current IT practices and workflows, identify gaps, and recommend practical improvements aligned with cybersecurity best practices.
  • Create and maintain security policies, procedures, process documentation, and user guidance that are clear, accurate, and usable.
  • Support completion of a privileged access management implementation, including related access processes and documentation.
  • Partner with IT teams to implement and validate security controls, including screen locking, access restrictions, and least-privilege practices.
  • Translate security requirements into actionable steps for technical teams and understandable guidance for employees.
  • Gather information from stakeholders, document how processes operate, and clarify what needs to change.
  • Maintain organized records of security controls, project status, outstanding issues, and completed improvements.
  • Support ongoing improvements to access management, password practices, incident response documentation, and cyber hygiene.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and roadblocks clearly, taking ownership of assigned work through completion.

Position Overview

Fusion HCR is seeking a thoughtful, analytical Cyber Security Analyst for a client in the gaming technology industry. This position focuses on turning established security recommendations into practical improvements through process development, clear documentation, and consistent project execution. With a security assessment already completed, this individual will help move identified initiatives through implementation and completion. The role requires a strong understanding of IT operations, sound judgment, excellent technical writing skills, and a genuine interest in cybersecurity. Candidates with approximately five years of IT support, systems support, or related experience who are ready to transition into cybersecurity are encouraged to apply. Success in this position depends on the ability to understand how systems and people work, ask meaningful questions, and translate security best practices into effective day-to-day processes.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand existing processes and identify practical improvements
  • Excellent technical writing skills, including the ability to develop clear procedures, process documentation, and user instructions
  • Demonstrated ability to organize work, manage details, and follow projects or action items through to completion
  • Sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and the confidence to ask questions when requirements or risks are unclear
  • A genuine interest in cybersecurity and a commitment to developing knowledge in the field
  • Ability to independently explain, validate, and take ownership of the accuracy of recommendations and documentation
  • Ability to work onsite in Las Vegas five days per week
Preferred Qualifications
  • Approximately five years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technical role, with exposure to security responsibilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience creating standard operating procedures, knowledge articles, security documentation, or process guides
  • Exposure to identity and access management, privileged access management, access reviews, or endpoint security controls
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001
  • Evidence of continued cybersecurity learning through coursework, certifications, labs, or practical projects
