Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled engineer for the Advanced Technology Laboratories in Arlington, VA. The role focuses on autonomy, robotics, AI, and advanced cyber operations, with a strong emphasis on research & development and prototype software systems.

You will collaborate with researchers and engineers to advance cutting-edge IO/CNO technologies, contribute to proposals, and demonstrate prototypes to stakeholders in a highly collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical fields such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Security, or related field.
• Experience in Research & Development.
• Experience with Software Development in Python, C, or C++.
• Experience in domains such as Applied research, Embedded systems development, Compiler Design, IDS/PSP, reverse engineering, Vulnerability Analysis, ML/AI, Cyber/IO/CNO R&D.

Responsibilities

• Researching, inventing, designing, and developing new computing approaches and innovative uses for existing technology.
• Creating and improving computer systems, applications, and algorithms.
• Solving complex computing problems through development of prototypes and software systems.
• Evaluating systems against envisioned metrics.
• Authoring technical portions of proposals and presenting results to teammates and program customers.
