Job summary

HDI Global Insurance Company in Chicago, IL is seeking a seasoned Cyber Facultative Senior Underwriter to lead underwriting of complex facultative cyber reinsurance opportunities and manage broker relationships across domestic and multinational programs.

You will collaborate with global underwriting, actuarial, claims, and risk engineering teams to analyze exposures, set terms, and drive profitable portfolio growth while staying travel-ready and compliant with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPCU, ARe, CISSP, CISM are a plus.
• 5+ years of commercial insurance, reinsurance, or specialty underwriting experience, with cyber focus.
• Strong knowledge of cyber risk exposures and emerging threats.
• Experience underwriting facultative reinsurance and pricing negotiations.
• Excellent communication and broker relationship skills.
• Willingness to travel and work in a global environment.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite facultative cyber reinsurance submissions for large risks.
• Evaluate opportunities by analyzing cedent info, programs, and loss history.
• Structure terms, pricing, and capacity with profitability in mind.
• Manage broker and cedent relationships to grow portfolio.
• Collaborate with global teams on complex exposures.
• Monitor cyber threat trends and regulatory developments.
• Participate in meetings and industry events to strengthen presence.
