Job summary

Global Power Components in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to own and administer the AWS welder certification program across the facility. This hands-on role works with welders, Weld Leads, Weld Supervisors, Quality, and production leadership to maintain welding quality and compliance with procedures.

The ideal candidate will have current CWI certification (minimum one year) and deep knowledge of AWS standards, welding symbols, and inspection practices.

Qualifications

• CWI certification current; held for at least 1 year.
• Deep knowledge of AWS welding standards, welder qualification requirements, and inspection practices.
• Experience in welding inspection for heavy-gauge steel fabrication and manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and administer the AWS welder certification and qualification process for the facility.
• Coordinate welder qualification testing and certification activities.
• Maintain accurate records of welder certifications, qualifications, test results, and status.
