Job summary

RTX and Collins Aerospace are seeking an experienced CVI SME to research and develop Chemical Vapor Infiltration processes for high-temperature brake components. You will lead multiple R&D projects, define equipment interrelationships, and work closely with the current CVI SME to accelerate learning.

Qualified candidates typically hold a STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree with 3+ years).

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree with 5+ years of experience, or advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience with high-temperature furnaces and process equipment.
• Experience writing technical reports detailing methods and findings.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and characterize CVI processes to meet performance requirements for aircraft brake components.
• Manage multiple R&D projects and tasks, including plans, testing, and data analysis.
• Collaborate with shop floor and leadership; communicate technical results to senior management.
