Job summary

UCLA Health is seeking a Senior Custodian to clean and maintain patient rooms, nursing stations, and public areas at UCLA Resnick Hospital. You will operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor machines, and scrubbers to keep spaces safe and sanitary.

Work hours are 3:30pm to 12:00am with variable days including weekends and holidays. The role is fully on-site with an emphasis on patient safety and high standards of cleanliness in a world-class health environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly in English and follow safety guidelines.
• Experience in custodial or housekeeping roles is preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and operate cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and dust patient rooms, isolation rooms, nursing stations, and public areas.
• Sweep, strip and wax floors; operate cleaning machines as required.
• Maintain a safe environment that supports patient care and satisfaction.

As a Senior Custodian, you will clean and dust patient rooms, isolation rooms, nursing stations, ancillary rooms, exam rooms, procedure rooms, conference rooms, offices, hallways, corridors, public areas, etc. You will sweep, strip and waxes floors as well as clean vertical and horizontal surfaces using approved cleaning solutions. These duties involve operating vacuum cleaners, buffers, wall washing machines, shampoo machines and floor machines. You will also perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Salary Range: $25.17 - $32.53 / Hourly
