Job summary

Fairwinds Technologies, LLC is seeking an experienced Curriculum Developer to support an airborne modernization program, translating complex requirements into effective instructor-led and hands-on training for aircrew, maintenance, software teams, and operational users.

The role involves developing comprehensive curricula, FAM/Type I programs, and training solutions, collaborating with engineers and government stakeholders to ensure alignment with system baselines and technical orders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military/industry experience.
• 9+ years of curriculum development experience.
• 5+ years supporting military aviation, avionics, or aerospace programs.
• Experience developing training for aircraft systems, communications or mission systems.
• Experience developing maintenance and operator training.
• Experience with engineering drawings, technical data packages, system specifications, and manuals.
• Experience supporting DoD/air force/navy/army/foreign military sales programs.
• Experience delivering instructor-led and hands-on training solutions.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and customer relationship management skills.
• Experience with AWACS, ISR, C2, airborne communications, or large aircraft mission systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain training curricula for aircraft and ground system upgrades.
• Create familiarization and Type I training programs for flight crews and maintenance personnel.
• Design instructor-led, hands-on, and blended-learning solutions.
• Develop learning objectives, lesson plans, student/instructor guides, and assessments.
• Ensure courseware reflects system functionality and procedures.
• Translate avionics documentation into effective learning materials.
• Coordinate with government and contractor stakeholders on training needs and schedules.
• Deliver classroom and practical instruction when required.
• Conduct course evaluations and drive continuous improvement in training effectiveness.
