Job summary

AltaMed Health Services in Montebello, CA invites applications for a Curator to research, acquire, interpret and share the AltaMed Art Collection, which includes about 3,000 works.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in art history or related field (Master’s preferred), at least five years of professional curatorial experience in museums or galleries, and a track record of publications, acquisitions and exhibitions.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in art history, museum studies, or related field.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional curatorial work experience in museums, galleries, or visual art organizations.

Responsibilities

• Research and interpret the AltaMed Art Collection.
• Acquire artworks and archival materials.
• Interpret and exhibit artworks to audiences.
• Share the collection with the public and stakeholders.
