Verdantas, a leading environmental consulting firm, is seeking a senior cultural resources professional to lead Phase I–III archaeological investigations and NHPA compliance across projects in Ohio. The role emphasizes establishing technical standards, QA/QC, and multi-agency coordination with SHPOs, tribal nations, and federal agencies, while mentoring staff and supporting major pursuits.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, History, or related discipline.
• Progressive experience in cultural resources consulting with senior responsibilities.
• Experience as Principal Investigator on federal undertakings.
• Strong knowledge of Section 106, NHPA, NEPA, and preservation compliance.
• Ability to lead archaeological investigations and documentation.
• Ability to collaborate with regulatory agencies and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilidades

• Provide senior technical direction for Phase I–III archaeological investigations and Section 106 compliance.
• Establish and maintain technical standards, field protocols, QA/QC practices.
• Review complex reports and nominations.
• Lead resolution of cultural resources issues with multi-agency coordination.
• Engage with SHPOs, tribal nations, and federal agencies.
• Represent Verdantas in meetings and industry conferences.
• Mentor cultural resources professionals and support progression toward RPA eligibility.
• Contribute to recruiting and training for the practice.
