Job summary

Conair is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Stamford, CT, to shape the next generation of culinary products through hands-on engineering, design development, and technical leadership. Qualifications

• 5+ years developing heated or motorized culinary equipment, appliances, electromechanical products, or durable goods.
• Experience with mechanical or electromechanical systems, including heating, motors, controls, sensors, sheet metal, plastics, castings, or fabricated components.
• Experience leading products from concept through prototyping, validation, tooling, and launch.
• Experience designing for durability, sanitation, continuous‑duty operation, and serviceability.
• Experience collaborating with global suppliers, contract manufacturers, and cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to solve complex problems, communicate technical decisions, and balance performance, quality, cost, and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Own technical development of multiple products from concept through launch, balancing performance, quality, cost, schedule, and manufacturability.
• Design mechanical and electromechanical products for demanding environments.
• Translate customer, business, and design requirements into specifications, CAD models, drawings, and bills of materials.
• Build, test, and refine prototypes, solving technical problems and making sound engineering tradeoffs.
• Serve as technical lead, run design reviews, and communicate recommendations, risks, and decisions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, global engineering, suppliers, and manufacturers.
• Mentor junior engineers, fostering curiosity, creativity, and strong engineering practices.
• Partner with Validation and Certification teams to define test requirements and verify performance, safety, and compliance.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and apply design improvements throughout development.
• Review designs and processes for quality, cost, manufacturability, serviceability, and reliability.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline

Advanced degree or training in product development, thermal or motor systems, materials, manufacturing, or electromechanical design
