Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Business Controller to drive cross-functional alignment and act as a trusted finance partner across product launches. You will oversee launch reviews, maintain finance documentation, and support timely implementation in a fast-paced crypto fintech environment.

You will collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Tax, and Operations to ensure regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and scalable controls. Strong accounting background and Big 4 experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance with exposure to operational processes.
• Big 4 public accounting experience required with strong technical accounting background.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with audit-ready docs.

Responsibilities

• Own prioritization meetings with Business Partners across Consumer, Institutional, Base, and Development to plan Finance support for launches.
• Oversee end-to-end product launch review process and maintain Finance Requirements docs.
• Partner with finance and cross-functional teams to evaluate new product strategies and define requirements.
• Serve as trusted advisor to business partners and scale operations with minimal friction.
• Collaborate with EAA and Finance Engineering to implement new reporting and automate processes.
• Perform accounting treatment reviews for new products ensuring alignment with standards.
• Scope and implement controls to address financial risks and ensure operating effectiveness.
• Produce fund flow analyses, risk summaries, and executive updates.
