Job summary

A leading financial services firm in Texas is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join their Digital Asset Security Operations team. You will be responsible for supporting critical cybersecurity solutions for cryptocurrency infrastructure. The role requires significant experience with APIs, cloud computing, and security controls as well as a deep understanding of cryptographic methods. This position has a hybrid work model, requiring some onsite presence every other week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is required.
• At least 6 years of IT engineering or support experience.
• Proficient in APIs, key management, and encryption products.

Responsibilities

• Part of a cybersecurity dev/ops team for critical solutions.
• Perform incident, change, and release management.
• Conduct systems security engineering work for new controls.

Skills

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent technology discipline

6+ years of experience in a distributed IT engineering and/or support function

2+ years of experience with implementing and supporting APIs, key management & encryption products

1-2 years of experience with cloud computing (AWS/Kubernetes/Containerization)

Understanding of cryptography/encryption concepts, methods, and processes

Strong working knowledge of OS (Linux and Windows) from security perspective

Knowledge of deploying and managing APIs, and automation/scripting (Python/Bash, PowerShell)

Hands-on experience in CI/CD and configuration management systems like GitHub, Jenkins

Hands-on experience with Hardware Security Modules (HSM)

Good system analysis and problem-solving skills

Understanding of Agile methodology
