Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Principal Chief Architect to unify product strategy and solution architecture across CenterWell's Pharmacy, PCO, Home Solutions, and Humana Military.

This leader partners with segment product leaders, engineering, security, and data teams to govern architectural blueprints, drive shared platform roadmaps, and ensure delivery readiness across four health-centric segments. The role emphasizes Azure-based architectures, API governance, and cross-segment data integration,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or related field.
• 10+ years IT experience spanning product management and solution architecture.
• 5+ years in healthcare IT with HIPAA/PHI; payer, provider, pharmacy, or government health domain preferred.
• Proven track record prioritizing cross-functional backlogs and roadmaps at executive level.
• Hands-on architecture with Azure services and data platforms; API design and governance.
• Experience with SAFe delivery, PI planning, and cross-TR train dependency management.
• Executive communication: synthesize complex trade-offs for C-suite audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve a shared cross-segment platform roadmap across four segments.
• Produce and govern reference architectures, ADRs, and design patterns.
• Prioritize top-level backlogs and decompose epics into executable stories with acceptance criteria and NFRs.
• Lead governance forums (ARB, TRB, MOR) and ensure regulatory compliance (HIPAA/PHI, ONC).
• Define data integration contracts, API standards, and data boundaries across domains (pharmacy, clinical, home health, military).
• Drive platform reuse and justify consolidation to reduce technical debt.
• Communicate decisions clearly to executives and delivery teams.
