Job summary

The Florida Department of Corrections is seeking a Senior Criminal Justice Information Technician in Orlando. This role supervises junior technicians, oversees data entry and retrieval, and ensures accuracy and compliance with departmental policies.

It reports to the Intake unit at Circuit 09A and requires on-site presence. Responsibilities include analyzing records from court orders and law enforcement files, communicating results to authorized staff, and maintaining security of confidential

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must possess two years of secretarial or clerical work experience.
  • College education from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for each year of the required work experience.
  • Vocational/technical training in secretarial or office/business studies can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours for each year of the required work experience.
  • A high school diploma or its equivalent can substitute for one year of the required work experience.

This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Circuit 09A-Orlando Intake.

The Senior Criminal Justice Information Technician at the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) oversees and ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timely processing of criminal justice information. This role involves supervising and guiding junior technicians, managing complex data entry and retrieval tasks, and ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.

This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
