Job summary

Austal USA, LLC in Mobile, AL seeks an experienced Crew Training Instructor to lead pre-commissioning training for Navy/MSC/USCG personnel, develop curricula and instructional materials, and deliver classroom and shipboard sessions to meet contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of Navy/USCG/MSC crew training instructor experience required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience interacting with internal and external customers.
• Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office products.
• Prior U.S. Navy, MSC or USCG experience desired, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Training of pre-commissioning crew.
• Develop crew training curriculum, instructor guides, student guides.
• Develop electronic presentations and audio-visual aids.
• Conduct classroom/seminar and shipboard training to meet all contractual requirements.
• Technical input to Engineer's Operating Manual (EOM) and all associated procedures and training.
• Interfacing with OEMs/Suppliers to obtain Vendor Furnished Information as needed.
• Interfacing with Navy/Supship personnel on crew training related issues.
• Ensuring all change order activity that impacts crew training is processed, documented and communicated to rest of ILS Team.
• Cross-train to other areas within ILS as necessary.
