VT Industries, Inc. is seeking a seasoned credit professional to lead customer credit decisions, manage collections, and partner with sales, finance, and service teams to optimize working capital.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers regarding payment of past due invoices, holds, and shipments.
• Understand hold/release logic and parameters.
• Maintain and update customer credit records.
• Process credit applications and assess credit risk.
• Conduct detailed credit risk assessments and recommend credit limits and terms.
• Review and authorize credit limit changes within delegated authority.
• Proactively manage aged debt and escalate high-risk accounts.
• Resolve complex billing disputes, deductions, and reconciliations.
• Produce aged debtor reports, cash flow forecasts, and KPI metrics for management.
• Create and manage unresolved deduct/holdback reports.
• Address incoming credit reference and waiver requests.
• Ensure customer master file is current and accurate.
• Adhere to credit policies, internal controls, and audits.
• Act as a key cross-functional contact on credit matters.
• Support process improvements and system enhancements in credit.
• Assist Credit Manager with ad-hoc analysis and projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Extensive interaction with customers regarding payment of past due invoices, orders placed on hold and shipments.
• Responsible for understanding the logic and parameters of hold and release decisions.
• Maintain and update customer credit records.
• Process credit applications.
• Conduct detailed credit risk assessments and make recommendations on credit limits and payment terms.
• Review and authorize credit limit changes in line with delegated authority.
• Proactively manage aged debt, escalating high-risk accounts to agreed action plans.
• Lead on resolving complex billing disputes, deductions, and account reconciliations.

Physical Requirements

Tolerance for sitting for long periods of time. Possess finger dexterity to write, type, and use a calculator. Maintain adequate vision to view small print and computer terminal. Ability to speak and hear, walk throughout facilities with occasional light lifting (25 pounds), stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms required. Ability to travel between multiple facilities as required to perform core job duties.
