Job summary

PTMA Financial Services, an investment advisory firm with dual headquarters in Denver, CO and Naperville, IL, seeks a Senior Credit Research Analyst to focus on fundamental credit analysis of fixed income issuers while assessing macroeconomic and regulatory factors.

You will prepare written recommendations, present to the Credit Committee, and support ongoing surveillance with Excel-based models. Requires 3–5 years in credit analysis and authorization to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in banking credit analysis or related field, or 5+ years credit analysis experience.
• Ability to analyze large data sets, conduct issuer research, and draft written analyses.

Responsibilities

• Fundamental credit analysis of approved and proposed issuers through due diligence and research, with written recommendations.
• Prepare reports for new initiations, annual reviews, and sector overviews.
• Ongoing surveillance of financial metrics, market signals, and risk factors using tools and internal models.
• Collaborate with Investment Advisor and Credit teams to assess counterparties and policy conformance.
• Mentor new analysts and participate in industry conferences as needed.
