You'll evaluate the financial strength of businesses, recommend appropriate credit exposure, and work directly with customers and internal teams to resolve payment issues, reduce risk, and protect cash flow.

At Leprino, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $85,000 and $95,000. This position has an annual target bonus of 10%.

What You’ll Do:
  • Analyze and spread business financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to evaluate liquidity, leverage, net worth, financial trends, and overall creditworthiness.
  • Evaluate the financial strength of domestic and international customers and recommend appropriate credit limits, payment terms, and other actions based on your analysis.
  • Prepare clear, well-supported credit analyses and recommendations for management review and approval.
  • Support a portfolio of approximately 100 customers, including large, high-touch accounts requiring ongoing attention, communication, and financial oversight.
  • Monitor customer accounts and accounts receivable activity to identify past-due balances, changing payment patterns, financial deterioration, and other emerging risks.
  • Lead and support collection efforts on past-due accounts, working directly with customers and internal partners to resolve issues and improve cash flow.
  • Investigate and resolve complex customer deductions and short payments, including pricing discrepancies, freight, shortages, rebates, returns, trade promotions, chargebacks, and other payment disputes.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Accounts Receivable, and other teams to research discrepancies, determine appropriate resolution, and prevent recurring issues.
  • Serve as a senior resource for complex credit, collection, and deduction matters while communicating recommendations clearly and professionally to customers and Leprino leadership.
  • Analyze portfolio, collection, and deduction trends and support reporting, process improvements, and system initiatives that strengthen credit controls and visibility across the business.
You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of progressive experience in commercial credit analysis, corporate credit, credit underwriting, commercial banking, corporate finance, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience independently analyzing and spreading business financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Strong knowledge of financial-statement analysis, including evaluating cash flow, liquidity, leverage, net worth, financial trends, and overall business creditworthiness.
  • Experience evaluating businesses and developing well-supported credit or risk recommendations for management review.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain financial and credit matters clearly to customers, business partners, and senior leaders.
  • Strong Excel skills, including experience working with PivotTables and financial data analysis.
We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Experience managing a portfolio of commercial customers or counterparties within a large corporate environment, commercial bank, or other complex organization.
  • Experience with commercial collections, accounts receivable, customer deductions, short payments, chargebacks, rebates, pricing disputes, or cash application processes.
  • Experience establishing or recommending customer credit limits, payment terms, guarantees, collateral, or other credit-risk controls.
  • Experience analyzing privately held and/or international companies.
  • Experience working with SAP or a similar enterprise financial system.
  • Experience developing credit, portfolio, collections, or deduction reporting and analytics.
  • Experience within the food, dairy, manufacturing, or distribution industries.
