Job summary

Ashton North LLC seeks an experienced Commercial Real Estate Lending Attorney for its Plantation, FL office. The attorney will represent institutional and private lenders in sophisticated financing transactions and work with Real Estate and Finance practices.

A portable book of business is preferred but not required. You will manage transactions from inception through closing, with strong emphasis on drafting, negotiation, and closing complex deals.

Qualifications

• J.D. required from an accredited law school.
• Active Florida Bar membership in good standing.
• 7+ years in commercial real estate finance or related lending.
• Strong drafting, negotiating and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent lenders in commercial mortgage, construction, bridge, mezzanine, syndicated and other secured financing transactions.
• Structure, draft, negotiate, and close complex financing documents.
• Prepare and negotiate loan agreements, mortgages, security agreements, guaranties, intercreditor agreements, and related documents.
• Manage transaction due diligence including title, survey, leases, zoning, organizational, and collateral matters.
• Advise clients on deal structure, risk, collateral, and financing terms.
• Coordinate closings and work with clients, opposing counsel, title companies, and other professionals.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to business development.
