Job summary

OakNorth Bank is seeking a Senior Associate - Credit, CRE to join the US Lending team in New York. You will assess and structure commercial real estate transactions, typically up to $30m, reporting to the Senior Credit Director and coordinating with Debt Finance, Credit Analytics and the Transaction and Execution Team.

The role is in-office, requiring 3–5 years CRE credit experience, independent deal leadership, and the ability to produce concise credit memoranda for committee review and closing.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years CRE credit experience, ideally at a bank or regulated lending institution.
• Experience across asset classes including development and value-add up to around $30m.
• Ability to produce concise, decision-focused credit memoranda.

Responsibilities

• Lead credit risk assessment on CRE transactions across a mix of asset classes—producing well-reasoned recommendations for senior committee presentation.
• Drive transaction structuring to reflect identified risks, shaping covenants, reserves, and security; coordinate with the Transaction and Execution Team for final documentation.
