Job summary

Tenstorrent is seeking a CPU Performance Modeling Architect to help evaluate, shape, and optimize future CPU architectures. You will use performance modeling, workload analysis, and a deep understanding of CPU pipelines to identify opportunities and turn insights into design decisions.

This hybrid role is based in Santa Clara, CA or Austin, TX, with collaboration across CPU architects, RTL designers, software and compiler teams to drive architectural improvements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in CPU architecture, performance modeling, microarchitecture, or related field.
• Strong understanding of CPU pipelines, caches, memory hierarchy, and data movement.
• Experience using performance models, simulation, or quantitative analysis to guide architectural decisions.
• Strong programming skills in C++ or Python for modeling and analysis.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to work across architecture, hardware, and software teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and shape performance opportunities for future CPU architectures.
• Turn modeling insights into actionable design decisions in collaboration with CPU architects, RTL designers, software and compiler teams.
• Communicate complex modeling results clearly to drive engineering decisions.
