Job summary

CyberCoders, Inc. is seeking a Senior Counsel - Litigation in Albuquerque, NM. Hybrid work arrangement with base compensation of $150,000–$180,000 (DOE) plus quarterly bonuses up to $10,000. The role concentrates on defense matters including product liability, personal injury and catastrophic loss.

The ideal candidate has a JD, NM admission, 7+ years of litigation and a proven track record managing outside counsel, budgets and high-stakes motions.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice in New Mexico.
• 7+ years of litigation experience in insurance defense and high-exposure matters.
• Experience in product liability, personal injury and catastrophic loss.
• Trial and courtroom experience with depositions and motions.
• Strong drafting and legal research for pleadings and briefs.
• Able to manage outside counsel and litigation budgets.
• Excellent oral advocacy and business judgment.
• Ability to handle multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee litigation strategy for high-value matters.
• Coordinate outside counsel, budgeting, and billing oversight.
• Prepare, prosecute and defend dispositive motions and filings.
• Lead depositions and manage discovery processes.
• Evaluate cases with claims and risk teams for resolution and reserves.
• Provide practical legal counsel to internal stakeholders.
• Mentor junior attorneys and paralegals; create best practices.
• Monitor trends and regulatory developments affecting risk.
• Manage budgets, vendor relationships and senior leadership reporting.
