University of California in Oakland seeks a Principal Counsel, Investment Transactions to advise on highly complex corporate transactions across UC Investments. You will structure, draft, review, and negotiate investments, real estate deals, and fund vehicles while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and Regents policies.
The role requires 8+ years of in‑house or law firm experience in corporate finance and investments, with strong negotiation and leadership abilities.
Formación
- Significant experience with legal aspects of private fund investments, direct investments, real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and/or corporate finance.
- In‑depth collaboration, facilitation, and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Proven team player with strong interpersonal communication, including negotiation and education.
Responsabilidades
- Provides practical, actionable legal advice on highly complex corporate transactional, finance, operations, and investment matters.
- Structures, documents, and negotiates transactions including private funds, direct investments, and real estate deals.
- Drafts and negotiates a broad range of agreements and manages contract processes.
