Role covers Agriculture, Banking and Financial Services, Regulatory, Contracts, Corporate Governance, Tax, and more; requires JD, U.S. bar licensure, and ability to obtain Illinois admission within a year, with strong communication and research skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and able to obtain Illinois bar admission within one year of hire.
• Continuing legal education requirements up to date.

Responsibilities

• Provides a broad range of legal services involving independent analysis, planning, research, investigation, and development of legal advice on matters significant to the organization’s operations, governance, and strategy.
• Reviews policy and account materials, internal and external corporate communications, regulatory guidance, and governance documents.
• Partners with business leaders to identify legal risks, develop practical solutions, and support business initiatives.
• Monitors and interprets legal and regulatory developments affecting the organization and recommends actions.
• Manages or supports litigation, regulatory inquiries, and other legal proceedings as needed.
• Monitors changes in laws and regulations relevant to the assigned practice area and provides updates and recommendations for compliance.
• Contributes to enterprise-wide projects and strategic initiatives balancing legal, regulatory, and business considerations.
