Job summary

Fujifilm Holdings America Corporation is seeking a senior counsel to support privacy, data protection, and AI program goals across multiple business functions. You will provide expert legal advice on state, federal, and international privacy laws, supporting strategies in North America, South America, and Europe.

The role is fully remote within the US, reporting to the Chief Litigation, Employment & Privacy Counsel, and collaborating with Privacy Officers, Data Governance Director, and

Qualifications

  • JD degree and U.S. state bar in good standing.
  • 8–12 years practicing attorney experience, including 5–10 years in privacy/security counseling.
  • Understanding of privacy statutes/regulations (CPRA, VDCPA, CMIA, HIPAA, GDPR, TCPA, CAN-SPAM).
  • Experience drafting and negotiating AI/privacy/security contracts and provisions.
  • Experience with data loss prevention, cybersecurity incidents, and incident response.

Responsibilities

  • Advise Fujifilm attorneys and business teams on data privacy and protection law; provide practical, timely guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. and global data protection laws; advise on data collection, use, disclosures, consent, and related issues.
  • Collaborate with privacy and security teams to strengthen the company’s privacy program and reduce risk.
  • Support PIAs/DPIAs, vendor risk reviews, and internal data-mapping efforts with Data Governance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate AI, privacy, and security provisions in contracts (DPA, BAA, SED).
  • Provide legal direction on data protection laws affecting operations and contracts.
  • Advise on AI governance, emerging products, and privacy impacts; monitor regulatory developments.
  • Assist with incident response planning and investigations involving data access/loss.
