Irvine Company, a diversified real estate operator, seeks a Senior Counsel (Construction Contracting) to lead development and construction contracts, provide daily legal guidance to project teams, and manage disputes and risk across major entitlement and development efforts. Based in Newport Beach, CA, the role reports to the Vice President & Assistant General Counsel.

Responsabilidades

• Draft and negotiate development and construction contracts, including agreements with design professionals and related documents.
• Provide day-to-day legal counsel to development and construction teams, including entitlement support and scope reviews.
• Manage change orders, vendor defaults, mechanics’ liens, bankruptcy issues, and other disputes.
• Advise on cross-divisional strategic initiatives and project risks.
• Draft and negotiate telecom licenses for company properties, coordinating with business teams for timely execution.
• Maintain and update contract templates to ensure ongoing compliance with evolving laws and market standards.
