Mars Veterinary Health seeks a Sr. Counsel, Commercial Law to support MVH North America across Banfield, BluePearl, and VCA.

You will join a regional CoE&D team, handling complex commercial contracts, risk allocation, and strategic collaborations with internal stakeholders and outside counsel as needed. The role emphasizes drafting and negotiation, regulatory awareness, and collaboration across Commercial, Medical and Scientific Affairs, IT, Finance, Legal, and Operations.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school and licensed to practice in the United States.
• 8+ years of commercial legal experience, preferably in-house for a large, matrixed or global organization.
• Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial and third party strategic alliance agreements.
• Strong contract law knowledge, UCC principles (US), privacy/data use issues, and risk management strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on a broad range of commercial matters for North American business units.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex vendor, distribution, licensing, and service agreements.
