Job summary

GoodLeap, a technology company delivering financing and software for sustainable solutions, seeks a Senior Counsel to provide direct legal support to mortgage/HELOC products and business units. You will join the Legal Compliance team and advise on debt collection, privacy, consumer credit compliance, lending, and solar financing.

Ideal candidates have a JD and experience advising lenders or fintechs on consumer credit issues, with preferred exposure to mortgage products, litigation, and consumer

• Preferred experience with mortgage/HELOC products, litigation, consumer complaints, and examinations.

Responsibilities

• Manage legal, regulatory, and product issues related to mortgage/HELOC financial products.
• Collaborate with outside counsel and in-house teams.
• Provide guidance on legal issues and support all business sectors regarding mortgage and consumer credit products.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Experience advising mortgage lenders, financial institutions, or fintechs on legal and regulatory consumer credit lending issues, specifically credit cards.
• Preferred experience handling mortgage/HELOC products, legal issues, litigation, consumer complaints, and examinations.
• Ability to manage a heavy workload in a high-pressure environment with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & Mode

Base Pay Range: $150,000 - $200,000 per year.
Employment Type: Full-time.
