You will serve as a trusted legal partner to our operations, sales, procurement, and real estate teams, supporting a broad range of commercial activity across our OEM business.

Key Responsibilities
Commercial Contracts
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of commercial agreements, including dealer agreements, OEM supply contracts, manufacturing and tolling agreements, and master service agreements.
  • Serve as primary legal point of contact for the company's dealership and distribution network, advising on franchise‑related matters and dealer contract compliance.
  • Support procurement and sourcing teams on supplier agreements, vendor contracts, statements of work, and related documentation.
  • Identify and negotiate favorable contract terms related to pricing, IP ownership, indemnification, liability caps, and termination rights.
  • Maintain and improve standard contract templates and playbooks to increase efficiency and reduce legal risk.
Real Estate
  • Advise on real estate transactions including facility leases, purchase and sale agreements, easements, and site control documentation in support of manufacturing operations and dealership locations.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel and brokers on due diligence, title review, and closings as needed.
  • Review and negotiate landlord/tenant agreements for corporate and field locations.
Supply Chain & Manufacturing Support
  • Provide day‑to‑day legal support on supply chain issues including supplier disputes, force majeure claims, and contract performance matters.
  • Partner with operations and engineering teams to address legal issues arising from manufacturing processes, quality agreements, and product specifications.
  • Assist with OEM customer‑facing agreements and support the sales team on contract negotiations with major accounts.
General Legal Support
  • Identify legal risks and present practical, business‑friendly solutions to internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the automotive manufacturing and dealership industry.
  • Support the General Counsel on special projects, M&A diligence, and other matters as they arise.
Great Benefits
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.
  • Annual performance bonus.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays.
  • Collaborative, low‑bureaucracy legal team with real visibility to senior leadership.
Qualifications
Required
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission in good standing.
  • 5 to 7 years of transactional legal experience, with meaningful exposure to commercial contracts in a manufacturing, OEM, automotive, or related industry setting.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating and drafting dealer, distributor, supply, and/or manufacturing agreements.
  • Familiarity with real estate transactions, including commercial leases and purchase agreements.
  • Strong business judgment and the ability to communicate legal concepts clearly to non‑lawyers.
  • Highly organized, self‑directed, and comfortable managing multiple priorities under deadline pressure.
Preferred
  • Prior in‑house experience at a manufacturer, OEM, or multi‑site dealership group.
  • Exposure to UCC Article 2 sales of goods issues and supply chain dispute resolution.
  • Experience with franchise law or automotive dealer regulatory frameworks.
  • Familiarity with environmental or OSHA compliance considerations in a manufacturing context.
