Job summary

NAVFAC Pacific is seeking experienced Senior Cost Estimators to deliver cost estimates for a range of military facility projects, ensure compliance with DoD/Navy standards, and mentor junior staff. You will participate in source selection boards and analyze proposals to support contract modifications.

Qualified candidates will have strong MILCON estimating experience, a U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance, with a valid driver’s license.

At NAVFAC Pacific, we bring together diverse engineering and technical talents to deliver cutting-edge, impactful infrastructure projects that secure our nation's future. We are currently looking for experienced Senior Cost Estimators to join our dynamic team and make a lasting impact.

Our Senior Cost Estimators provide independent, timely, and professional architectural products and services, consultation, design, construction, and maintenance of facilities for the Navy, Marine Corps, and other supported Commands. You will be working on a variety of special projects and critical military construction (MILCON), and be involved in the demolition, maintenance, space utilization, and development of facilities.

• Develop detailed, comprehensive construction cost estimates for a wide range of unique and complex military facility projects, including new construction, renovations, and major infrastructure assets.
• Serve as a senior technical expert, providing advice to project teams and leadership on cost-related policies, market trends, and the interpretation of estimating requirements.
• Perform quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) reviews of cost estimates prepared by in-house staff and consulting firms to ensure compliance with DoD, Navy, and other regulatory standards.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced cost estimators on estimating techniques and processes, and support the development of community-wide cost policy and criteria.
• Support project execution by participating in source selection boards, analyze contractor proposals, and develop cost estimates for contract modifications and change orders.

Highly Desirable

4-10 years construction cost estimating and scheduling experience

Key Position Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance
• A US Citizen aged 18 or older at time of hire
• Males registered or exempt from Selective Service www.sss.gov
• Determined suitable for federal employment (process includes a background check and fingerprinting)
